Buldermanden 1996 short film In Hungary it was released as “A nagymama pincéje és a mumus” and in Sweden as “Skorstensspöket”. This is quite successful attempt of humorous horror movie, something between Hitchcock and Kafka. Close up scenery, black-and-white cinema, threatening audio effects makes Buldermanden horrible even for adults. The two siblings Ida and Scrubsak are visiting grandmother, tight old lady without understanding of children feelings. To manage with children she threatens them with Boggart-man (Buldermanden) who lives in the chimney and eats bad children. Ida suggest Scrubsak to get dropped into a chimney and show the bum to bogy… However, against the genre, story ends well for both children. Buldermanden movie give us a bunch of horror, children emotions, and lot of humor. It made me feel like a child! English subtitles are available in video settings.
